SocialSpark Is Safe for Both Bloggers and Advertisers!

Now that I am officially part of SocialSpark.com, I am eager to do more opportunities for the site every day! I have done a couple of opportunities already and I am looking forward to making at least two opportunities a day for one blog. Two opportunities a day is good but five is way better! The more the merrier!

There are already many advertisers to SocialSpark and in the coming days I have the strongest feeling that more and more advertisers will avail of the advertising services of socialspark which means more opportunities and more money for bloggers.

Since my blog talks about Philippine Entertainment, I am looking forward to getting opportunities related to celebrities, both international and local. Opportunities on music and videos would also be ideal. Opportunities related to fashion would be good too.

Lara Quigaman out of Wowowee!

The beautiful Miss Lara Quigaman made a serious mistake in bringing her boyfriend with her in Hawaii in a shooting for Wowowee. Accordingly, the rules were explicit which prohibits them from bringing their partners with them in the shoot! Lara however said that the rules were never clear to her. Her boyfriend never interfered with her work in Hawaii, and that the rumors of her being unprofessional because of the PDA display is not true.

Willy Revillame was accordingly angry to Lara for what she did! Mariel Rodriquez in an interview, said that rules are rules and that Lara broke one!

My Two Thumbs Up To SocialSpark!

As a blogger, I always wanted to monetize my blog. There’s that feeling of satisfaction when you know you are earning decent money online. I joined a lot of money making sites but my blogging for money quest really reached its maximum when I joined get paid to post programs. However the financial freedom was short-lived when google began penalizing blogs for doing paid reviews. I thought it was the end of my financial independence, not until I found socialspark.

I was hesitant at first to join until I fully comprehend how SocialSpark operates. Today, I found socialspark to be the easiest way to monetize any blog. Let me point out a few of the requirements worth mentioning.

SocialSpark only requires a blog to be 90 days old to quality and with at least 20 pre existing posts written in the last 90 days. This is in contrast to other programs which require blogs to be 6 months old. SocialSpark requires no page rank for admission to the program which is a very big help to all bloggers whose blogs have been penalized by google. Thus, it’s wrong to think that without a Page Rank you cannot make money! Socialspark lets you make money despite your big fat zero page rank! This option to accept paid opportunities without page rank is not provided for by other programs. So ordinarily in other programs, having a PR-0 is tantamount to no opportunities. But thank heavens, SocialSpark is not like this!

Today is finally the day to "get carried away." I just did and what a ride it was! A very emotional rollercoaster I must say! Did Gisele Bundchen Say Yes to Plastic Surgery?

Since posting Gisele Bundchen's comments that she will "no way" have plastic surgery, I've received a lot of emails from readers who believe she has said "yes" to plastic surgery in the past. According to goodplasticsurgery.com (the sister site to Awfulplasticsurgery.com), she may have had a well-done breast augmentation and rhinoplasty. The photos are pretty convincing, so I would bet that maybe Gisele meant she would say "no way" to more plastic surgery...

Question of the Day: What Gives You Instant Gratification?

I’ve been challenged to answer this curious question … Here are five fabulous thrills that make me feel gratified and confident. And then I encourage you to comment with your own answers!

1. Snagging an interview. Be it an A-list star or a C-list socialite, grabbing someone on the red carpet or inside an event for a quickie Q&A is always exciting. (Okay, it’s more gratifying when it’s someone you really admire and they give you awesome answers.) Really, it’s such a feeling of accomplishment! See me interview my four favorite gals HERE ... 2. Dishing the dirt. When you hear a piece of juicy gossip, it’s hard not to share. And I adore when others join the conversation. I love it when I get comments on my blog, emails in my inbox, and fan mail to my address. (Okay, fan mail only comes from my mom … but it’s still much appreciated.)

3. A cuddle with my puppy. I mean talk about instant gratification. I feed her, she thanks me with kisses. I play with her, she rewards me with love-bites. I scold her, and she still nuzzles into my neck. She's just the cutest toy poodle ever. (Her name, by the way, is Reese Witherspoon.)

Rona and Valerie Out of PBB

PBB teens Rona and Valerie are officially voted out of the PBB House.

When Rona was voted out, there was not that much emotion in the house and in my opinion that's because most of the teens don't like Rona. Rona is playing safe in the house and maybe that's the reason why all her efforts to make it up to the other housemates who were already distant to her, failed!


Valerie's eviction on one hand was emotional. Eejay burst into tears! Ejay really likes Valerie and the two were already love-teams in the house so to speak. It's now a question of how will Ejay cope up in the house without Valerie?

We shall find out!

Although Gossip Girl has sadly ended for the summer, (wiping away tears as I speak) I'm not sure if Blake Lively and Penn Badgley got the memo. Ashlee Simpson No More (And Def. Expecting!)

Due to her recent marriage to rocker Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson has made a very traditional change in her life. She is now Ashlee Wentz! Professionally though, she'll go by Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. She says, "I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marring a man. It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."

Oh and a little fyi, just a few moments ago, I saw the confirmation that everyone has been waiting for. The Wentzes are preggers!

Welcome Home Girls!

Last night's HUGE event brought out NYC's favorite girls to Radio City for the highly-anticipated SATC premiere. Along with some of NYC's own, many a fan and not to mention the rain, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha returned home to an amazing reception and an outpouring of love.

With a front-row on-the-pink-carpet view, I witnessed everything from the flash that was Ashley Olsen and Jennifer Hudson's short bob (she was even being touched up on the carpet in-between interviews!) to SJP's GORGEOUS dress (she said she thought it looked like the Empire State building, how NYC of you Carrie Bradshaw!) and Patricia Field's radiant hair and personality. Lynn Cohen, who plays Magda, was adorable and even commented on the girl power of our fabulous video slash interview team! Jason Lewis was whisked by as he walked into the venue, but did look back to smile, so don't worry Smith, I forgive you. The Donald stopped for a brief moment as did Cynthia Nixon, Willie Garson, (who just adopted a son, aw!) Donna Karan, Fergie and Idina Menzel. The mob scene that was NYC last night once again showed how excited this city is for their SATC!

After the premiere, we were able to get a sneak preview of the after-party held at the MoMA. With the Swarovski-crystal couch, the trees wrapped in pink lights, bouquets of flowers, the music (deejayed by Samantha Ronson, and no Lindsay was not there), the appetizers and a sample of the "Carried Away" cosmo, the scene was more than glamourous!

Gisele Bundchen Says No to Plastic Surgery

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen went on the record regarding her thoughts about plastic surgery:

"No way (will I have surgery). Actually, I asked my mother the very same question and she said, 'It's taken me 58 years for me to look like this. You think I'm going to ruin it now?' She looks great, so I hope I will look the same."

It's easy to say that when her mother has passed on such great genes!

Jury Awards $20.5 million in Liposuction Lawsuit

On Friday a Philadelphia jury awarded $20.5 million to the family of an 18 year old who died following liposuction surgery. According to 6abc.com,

The liposuction was done on the teen's chin, abdomen and flanks. The family's civil suit charged that a blood vessel in Amy Fledderman's neck was severed during surgery, and that the plastic surgeon realized too late she was in trouble.
The doctor's office was not licensed by the state Department of Health, and his liposuction privileges at Main Line Health Hospitals had been restricted, the plaintiffs said.
The plastic surgeon, in court filings, said that Fledderman had a difficult time emerging from anesthesia. The nurse anesthetist said she died after developing a rare fat embolism.

I don't know any more about the details of this sad event from seven years ago. $20.5 million is an enormous amount of money. If the surgeon maxed out his malpractice insurance policy it will cover the first $1 million of it, leaving the remaining $19.5 million to come from everything else he (or the nurse) owns or will ever own (depending on state and national laws).

Was the doctor horribly negligent in caring for this young woman? I don't know. Was this just a freak event that could not have been prevented except for not performing the surgery? I don't know. If we are to have faith in the American courts, we must assume that the former is true, otherwise the doctor and nurse have had their lives destroyed for no fault of their own.

What I do know is that nothing will ever bring that 18 year old girl back, but massive awards like this can never be paid off during any doctor's lifetime. This is a tragic case for all involved.

What do you think about awards like this? I am interested in what my readers think about these multimillion dollar judgements against hospitals, doctors, and nurses. As a physician, I have my own beliefs, partly because the spectre of a lawsuit always hangs over the head of every doctor, no matter how hard he or she works to give his or her patients the absolute best and safest care. Some of the finest doctors I know, however, have been sued, many more than once.

Vanessa Williams Uses Botox!

Ugly Betty actress Vanessa Williams has admitted to using Botox. According to an article by Colin Stewart:

“I certainly do Botox, which I definitely think that almost every woman that I know has,” she told ABC interviewer Barbara Walters in today’s Oscar-night show. “And it’s a miracle drug, no cutting, nothing …“

Take a look at her forehead in the photo. It is smooth as a baby's bottom. That is one nice Botox result. Even two decades after she became Miss America, she is still absolutely stunning. Too bad, Rick Fox!

Brangelina isn't the only one making headlines in Cannes. Lindsay Lohan and her BFF, deejay Samantha Ronson shared a kiss on board of Diddy's yacht in the South of France yesterday. Four teens were chosen for an Island Adventure namely, Beauty, Valerie, Ejay and Nan! You can watch the video above for the happenings! The other teens were left behind. The reason why only the 4 were taken to the island adventure is not clear.

The Island Adventure including catching little crabs about 12 of them, following a map to get their food. The four lucky teens had fun while the other teens were left behind wondering were their other housemates are.

Cook Takes The Title

Last night's Idol proved victorious for David Cook as he was given the title of this year's American Idol. What a voice and what a season he had! Props to David Archie as well, what a competitor and what a voice, I'm sure he'll go far. I was on the edge of my seat last night, I literally didn't know which David, I mean which way it would go. I would have been happy either way, but I think David C. deserved it a little more. I can't wait to see what kind of record he'll come out with! Congrats!

World's Largest Breast Implants??

According to the blog Hollywood Rag, this woman is the Guinness world record holder for the world's largest breast implants. Apparently she has FFF size breasts. Obviously Guinness didn't see my previous post "The World's Largest Breasts and Silly String Implants."

The breast implant company I use, Mentor, makes implants up to 800 cc in size. The largest I've ever put in for cosmetic indications is about 650 cc. In breast reconstruction, 800 cc is not terribly unusual. Unfortunately, the larger the implants, the faster they will droop and the more complications they may have.

Some surgeons even stack one implant over another in the same breast to create massive breasts! I've never seen nor performed this surgery. There are rumors that this is what Pam Anderson has had...

PBB Teen Edition Plus 7th Nomination Night

It's Rona versus Robi in the 7th Nomination Night of PBB Teen Edition Plus. It's a rare nomination as the teens were blindfolded all in one room and were required 1 by 1 to cast their votes/nominees using their sort of necklaces containing as pendants the number of votes they are willing to give to the other teens.

Rona has been nominated for a number of times already and she was able to still make it, saved from eviction by the peoples' votes. Robi on the other hand is seldomly nominated. Perhaps that was a major cause of her eviction. Strange and Weird Items on Ebay

Ebay is such a very successful online store. Today I browsed for a new mp4 player and found on that I like. I visit Ebay a lot because of the various items that I can buy such as gadgets and celebrity memorabilia. I also like to just browse about weird, strange and shocking items that are sold at the site. Ebay is a big online store that you can virtually find just about anything from across the world. One of the weirdest thing that was sold on ebay was the alleged bones of St. Stephen. Yes human remains sold on ebay. In fact this issue was talked about in the Washington Post. But I don’t know how the issue died out.

Some celebrity owned belongings are sold at ebay as well, like the wrecked Lindsay Lohan car, etc. Selling on ebay is a breeze if you have a lot of time to do all the picture taking, auction monitoring and the shipment and delivery. But if not one can seek the help of iSold It. It does everything for you. All there is left for you to do is to just drop off the item you want to sell at their stores. They will manage the auction, shipment etc for you. Once your item is sold, they will just send your check. Great, isn’t it? At first I couldn’t imagine some service as this is available. But it does exist and this has revolutionized online selling.

Andi of PBB is out!

Andi the daughter of Miss Jacklyn Jose did not last long in the PBB House. The pressures proved too strong for her. Andi decided to get out of the PBB House. She entered the house just recently and left too soon.

I don't blame her. She entered the house with a lot of adjusting to do and worst of all she had to adjust to the military training that big brother had prepared for the pbb teens. Too bad for her. So who's going to be the next houseplayer. That we shall find out sooner.

Mikan is the New House Player of PBB

The new house player in liue of Shy has finally entered the PBB House. He is Mikan properly pronounced as May-kan. He is one of the 30 dreamers who did not make it. He is from Olongapo City. Covering his face with a mask, Mikan's first task was to cook breakfast for the teen housemates. Once the housemates got up from their beds and gathered, Mikan took off his mask and revealed his real identity.

Definitely I was expecting another girl house player in replace of Shy. But anyway, it's exciting how Mikan will adjust and how the other teens, especially the boys adjust to Mikan. And just how competent are Mikan and Andi in carrying out their every task as PBB House Player. These are all exciting things to look forward to.
