Angelina Jolie - Strange Wrinkles, Plastic Surgery, or Gills?

We normal people would like to think that Angelina Jolie has SOME type of flaw like the rest of us. Well, it appears that she does. No, she doesn't have big feet, cankles, or even the dreaded Man Hands. It appears, from this photo from Us Magazine, that Angelina has... weird lines on her neck! Are they from plastic surgery, abnormal anatomy, or remnants of our evolutionary amphibian ancestors?

This is a tough one. The only plastic surgery that I believe could create wrinkles like this is a mini-facelift, which I really doubt she's had. There are no muscle bands in that part of the neck that go in that direction. Therefore, I would have to argue that she probably has some type of abnormal anatomy there. Not as interesting as accusing her of a facelift, but the truth is the truth. At least she has some type of flaw, not matter how minor. One of my flaws is that I have a bit of a gummy smile.

This afternoon Brad and Angie arrived in Japan with the WHOLE family, giving us our very first look at Knox and Vivienne! How adorable are they?! (Just look at Brad and Knox's matching caps!) And I must say, there's a huge resemblance to Shiloh. Definitely one of my favorite families!

Angelina Gets Emotional

When asked how her late mother Marcheline influenced her latest role in the film The Changeling at a London press conference, this was Angelina's response: 

Did Angelina Jolie Have a Tummy Tuck?

This week's Star magazine is reporting that Angelina Jolie has had a tummy tuck. According to the magazine:

Sources tell Star that the 33-year-old actress fretted over the size of her stomach while she was pregnant with Knox and Vivienne. "She doesn't like to talk about it or admit it, but Angie told some friends that she had a 'mommy tuck,' " says a family insider. "She likes the way that sounds better than tummy tuck."

Do I think she's had a tummy tuck? I doubt it, but that's just my hunch. It takes a couple weeks to recover from the surgery, and I would think that the paparazzi would obtain actual proof that she had work done. Angelina has come a long way from being the goth girl with a tube of Slingblade's blood around her neck.

Angelina Squelches Despair/Breakup Rumors

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Angelina Jolie has quieted the bubbling rumors that she has suffered from a bout of post-partum depression and is having problems with her relationship with Brad Pitt. On the contrary, life sounds rosy for Brangelina and brood.

"We have fun, we have each other, and we have a lot of love in our life," she said. "And anybody who has love in their life has something that is much more important than anything else."

After establishing that her life is generally flawless, she spoke about her ever-growing family.

"It's a big, loud, busy family," Jolie said. "They're all great travellers, too, and I think partly because there are so many of them, they're able to make themselves at home anywhere. They can just go into an empty room, take it over, and make it their home, which is a wonderful gift."

Angelina Back In Spotlight At Changeling Premiere

To follow up on Erin's post below, Angie did indeed turn up for the Changeling premiere looking disgustingly gorgeous and with some fresh ink, to boot. Never mind that she just had two kids. Unfairness at its finest.

They're Here!

Question: What were you doing last night?

Answer: Awaiting the news of Angie and Brad's twins, duh.

Well, no need to await any longer! They have arrived! Just last night Angie gave birth to a boy and a girl. The names. Yes the names. These babies' names have been speculated about in every newspaper and on every entertainment show recently. I'm not sure if they were what people were expecting, but I would really love to know where they came from and why they were chosen. Little Knox Leon was born first weighing 5.03 lbs followed by sister Vivienne Marcheline weighing 5 lbs (Marcheline I do know is her mother's first name). Born by Cesarean section in the Nice hospital, Dr. Sussmann stated that the "babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well."

And how did the doting dad of six do during the birth? (Speaking of doting hottie dads, what a week it's been, first a mini Matthew and now a Brad junior!) Always by Angie's side, talking and laughing, the doc called him his "assistant." And he even cut the babies' umbilical cords! The doc went even further describing him as being "perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional."

Awww, I'm so excited for them!! Congrats!

Weeks Away

Angelina may have a ways to go before delivering her babies (who by the way have just been granted honorary citizenship of Nice with the mayor referring to them as "two little Nicois"). During a press conference, her obstetrician Dr. Michel Sussmann assured the world that she is doing fine, something Brangelina wanted to share with everyone. (How nice of them!) "Everything is normal," he said in both English and French. "She is very well, and she's okay...Brad and Angelina want everyone to know that everything is going well." According to the doc, the twins' arrival will be "in the weeks to come." Throughout the past week, Brad has brought Shiloh and Zahara to visit their mom, as well as Maddox who made a trip to the hospital with a bodyguard.

A Brangelina Twins Update: Angie has been admitted to a French hospital as she and Brad await the arrival of their twins. Apparently everything is well with the mother-to-be of six and this trip to the hospital was planned.

Brad and Angelina Top Plastic Surgery Poll

A survey by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery found that more people request to look like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie than any other Hollywood celebrity.
The informal poll of 20,000 plastic surgeons in 84 countries asked which celebrity body parts were the most requested.
Some of the results:
1. Angelina Jolie was the overwhelming choice for most requested smile and lips, followed by Julia Roberts.
2. Jolie's eyes and cheeks were also the most requested.
3. The most requested buttocks: Jennifer Lopez
4. The most requested breasts: Pamela Anderson
5. The nose everyone wants: Nicole Kidman (sorry Ashlee Simpson!)
6. The most requested male abs: Brad Pitt, followed by Matthew McConaughey
7. Many people also requested Brad Pitt's nose, eyes, chin, buttocks, lips, cheeks, and forehead.
8. A significant percentage of people request NOT to look like Pam Anderson, Dolly Parton, or Victoria Beckham.

I would have to agree with most of the findings EXCEPT:
- I've never had a patient request that I make her breasts look like Pam Anderson's. In fact, I find that most patients are afraid they'll wake up after surgery with "Baywatch Breasts."
- I've never had a patient ask for Nicole Kidman's nose, but many who have asked for Ashlee Simpson's.
- I find that many patients who seriously want to look like a celebrity can be a bit on the nutty side, and would be better treated in a psychiatric clinic than a plastic surgery office.
