Clay Trivia: AMACO Products

Clay is such a versatile material. It’s used in a lot of ways. As a child I was always fascinated with clays. I play around with it. It tickles my imagination to shape and create just about anything.

Did you know that the Amaco manufactured the first modeling clay for America called Permoplast. It was later sold to Woolworth’s Chain to become a national manufacturer in 1919. Not only that Amaco manufactured the first ceramic glazes which are led free as well as the first potter’s wheel. Amazing isn’t it.

AMACO is indeed a leading name and manufacturer. I’d suggest you visit them for products such low fire glazes, ceramic pottery kilns, liquid glazes, slump molds, etc.

When you think of clays, Amaco should now come in mind. It may be an exaggeration but, what life would have been without clays. I mean , you make a lot of things with it, plates, vases, ceramics, etc.
